GRADE 6: I Am Who Am—The Old Testament
The Old Testament tells the story of the Hebrew people and their faith in God. Reading the Bible with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and in light of Catholic Tradition can help reveal God’s plan for our lives. The Bible contains instruction about how we are to live as a human family. The pope and the bishops—the Magisterium—act together to help us interpret the Bible. The Church encourages us to read the Bible to learn about God, to grow in our relationship with God and with others, and to hear God’s message of love and forgiveness.

Dear Parents – We hope you will love the experience of passing along your faith to your child and perhaps deepen your own understanding of it as well. In order to help you do this, we recommend that before you download the lesson plan for each session, take a few minutes just for yourself – to clear your mind of the many worries and distractions that are part of being a parent. We recommend this 3-Minute Retreat as a terrific way to do this – it really works and it is really only 3-minutes long!
Parents! Rather than forwarding your child’s session review results to us by email, use our New! Homeschool form to submit and keep track of the work he or she has completed.
