In the Acts of the Apostles, we learn that the disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. They spoke the Word of God with boldness, and with the consolation of the Holy Spirit, the Church grew in numbers. The message is clear: the Holy Spirit is actively involved in the life of the Church and its members. The story of Pentecost is only the beginning of the account of the Holy Spirit’s presence in the early Church.
