GRADE 5: The Bread of Life—Sacraments & Worship
The sacraments are major celebrations of the Church, which is, in the words of the Second Vatican Council, the universal sacrament of Salvation. We experience the sacraments as God’s people, as Church members, but we also experience the Church in the sacraments. Each of the seven sacraments is a unique experience, yet they share many similarities. All are encounters with God the Father in Christ and the Holy Spirit. They all receive their power from the suffering, Death, Resurrection, and Ascension of Jesus Christ, and all are the Church’s public worship of God. While the Eucharist is the great sacrament of Christ’s presence among us, Christ is present in all seven sacraments.

A Big Thanks! We are so grateful to all our religious education students and parents who donated so many tasty treats to our bake sale and volunteered to help set-up or sell items after Mass last Sunday. It was a beautiful thing to see 🙂 Our bake sale was a huge success! We raised $551.87 for the interfaith Community Dinner program hosted at the First Congregational Church in Stoneham. It's so good to support people who are our friends and neighbors, especially the elderly on fixed incomes who regularly attend the dinners. Save the Date! Our next scheduled service opportunity, the Souper Bowl of Caring [more]

This includes "Maudy" or "Washing of the Feet", praying the Stations of the Cross, the Veneration of the Cross, and more. Though chronologically three days, they are liturgically one day unfolding for us the unity of Christ's Paschal Mystery. The single celebration of the Triduum marks the end of the Lenten [more]
This year, would like to share with you the Christmas greetings we received from the children we sponsor at the San Bartolo Mission in Peru. It is only through the generosity of parents and parishioners – and the hard work of our Grade 5 students – that the children we sponsor in San Bartolo are able to receive an education. In order to raise money to sponsor the children for next year, the Grade 5 students will be holding a Bake Sale on Sunday, January 12th after the 10:00 family Mass. As always, we hope to make the bake sale [more]
