“If a brother or sister has nothing to wear and has no food for the day, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well,” but you do not give them the necessities of the body, what good is it? So also faith of itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” – James, 2:15-17

At Saint Patrick Parish, we believe that it is essential for even the youngest child in our program to experience the joy of helping others through Christian Service. Christian Service includes any Corporal or Spiritual Work of Mercy freely given to another person in order to meet a genuine need. Each year, every child in our program is expected to offer a minimum of several hours of Christian Service by grade level as listed below:

Grades 1 & 2 = 3 hours
Grades 3 & 4 = 4 hours
Grades 7 & 8 = 6 hours
Grades 9 & 10 = 10 hours
