Souper Bowl of Caring

Saturday, January 31st – Before and after the 4 pm Mass
Sunday, February 1st – Before and after the 8 am, 10 am, and 12 noon Mass

As you celebrate the New England Patriots making it to the Super Bowl this year, help us “Tackle Hunger” by participating in the Souper Bowl of Caring food drive that will be taking place before and after each Mass this weekend.

We need volunteers to do the following:

  • Collect & sort food/paper-good donations in the Parish Council Room before and after each Mass.
  • Collect financial donations from parishioners as they enter and exit the Church.
  • Make posters to hang in the hall (must be delivered by Saturday)
  • Donate food or paper goods items (toilet paper, etc.)  to the cause ($10 donation = 1 hour service)

The food drive will benefit the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, which helps local families in crisis.

Students who wish to participate should sign in before Mass begins.  There will be a sign-in sheet in the Parish Council Room where the food drive is taking place. Volunteers who arrive to help both before and after Mass will earn 2 hours of Christian Service time.  Students who wish to make posters should make them on a large piece of poster board. Each poster will count as one hour of service time. Click Tackle Hunger for logos and graphics.
