GRADE 2: I Am The True Vine- First Eucharist & Reconciliation
Preparation for the Sacraments of First Communion and First Reconciliation is a two-year program, beginning in Grade 1. If your child was not registered in a Religious Education program in Grade 1, please contact the Religious Education office to determine what he or she will need to do to prepare to enter our Grade 2 Sacraments program.
The Eucharist in one of the three Sacraments of Initiation in the Roman Catholic Church. It completes the incorporation begun in Baptism and Confirmation. In the Eucharist, Christ becomes food that sustains us as we grow in discipleship. The Eucharist always represents a new beginning, the constant renewal of the life of Christ within us. During his public life, Jesus welcomed everyone into his presence. Despite objections, he welcomed children, outcasts, and sinners. The Church that Jesus founded strives to follow Jesus’ example as a welcoming community.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is central to following Jesus, for he devoted his life to the forgiveness of sin. He always forgave people their sins because it was integral to his mission. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is also central to being members of the Christian community, for there can be no love and peace within the community of believers if there is not forgiveness among us.

That's why, this July, we invite you to embark with us on an icy expedition to the heights of Everest, [more]
A Big Thanks! We are so grateful to all our religious education students and parents who donated so many tasty treats to our bake sale and volunteered to help set-up or sell items after Mass last Sunday. It was a beautiful thing to see 🙂 Our bake sale was a huge success! We raised $551.87 for the interfaith Community Dinner program hosted at the First Congregational Church in Stoneham. It's so good to support people who are our friends and neighbors, especially the elderly on fixed incomes who regularly attend the dinners. Save the Date!
